Ok but seriously it took me 4 hours and 25 min to do the timing belt, waterpump ect. and an oil change. Not to bad!

i did the same w/ a b6, but since i didnt take the full bumper off i ended up getting a bad view in front of the radiator.

this is quite a bit different from the b6 tb job.

Talk about flat-rating it! heh. cool vid. imo its easier to take out the headlights and get the inner 10mm bumper nuts from the inside, but to each their own. again, great vid.

sorry, edit: nuts. not positive they are on b5s but i am certain they are on b6 and b7s. there are 3 on each side where the fender meets the upper bumper section, just below and behind the headlights. b5s might not have them but i have seen people working on b6/7s take off both front wheels, and both front fender liners just to get to them so they can take off the bumper. its way easier with the headlights out instead. good job again.

No, the b5's don't have it. I have taken multiple b5 bumpers off and have never had to remove it. LOL

Why does everyone take off the front lock carrier!!!!! All you have to do is put the long bumper bolts on each side where the 4 torx are and slide the lock carrier out. Way less work!!!!!

I took it off because it gives me more room to work in there. I like more room. Plus i don't really car about the little extra work. LOL

Why does everyone take off the front lock carrier!!!!! All you have to do is put the long bumper bolts on each side where the 4 torx are and slide the lock carrier out. Way less work!!!!!
