my fuel pump wont turn on some times

hey i have a 1988 audi 90 quattro. when it is cold out the fuel pump wont turn on some times. i have to keep turning the key on and off to try to get it on or i have to take the fuse out and put it back it. sometimes that doesnt work. does anyone have any ideas what i could do to fix it.

a sloppy fix is just to hardwire it to your battery. i did that with my urquattro and it worked fine...
