Ok. I'm a b5 a4 owner and have been on audizine a while. But my girl bought a 225 tt quattro roadster and I got her an in dash single din flip out screen/radio and am having problems wiring it. We got the wire harness, amp integration kit and dash kit.

I connected all the wires to each harness but am not getting power OR sound. The pinouts on the harness seem to not match up with the pinouts of the plug coming from the car. I have been reassured that I have the correct harnesses for my MY. I'm on my phone now but when I get home I will post pics of said harnesses and the headunit as it sits now. Any help would b appreciated as I would like 2 get this thing up and running.

Edit: all the diys I have seen, the car has 4-5 plugs coming from the car. Her car only has 2 black plugs and the antenna wire coming from the car............

    Re: aftermarket headunit help.

I had the same problem with my 04 A4. I had a pioneer DVD player, and it wouldn't power on after everything was done. I searched around and found out that I had to run the red power wire, I think it was, seperatly directly to a fuse. Which I did and it turned right on after that!

Ya its a pain 2 install because of the factory amp. Hopefully someone that's done it on a tt will chime in. There's. Gotta be someone that's done it!

tt forums suck on AZ.its nothing like the a4 community on here..you should rather go ask on the audiworld forums, the TT people over there got everything down.

Get a metra adapter harness and VOILA.

Installed a Clarion ZX675USB in my 2000 TTQC w/o fanfare. Go the AudiWorld TT Forum FAQs HERE and get it going on.

I kept the factory amp and speakers: they are more than adequate at mty age. I can rock the neighbors just fine on "33", and got plenty of clarity and bottom.
