so just got back from the track rental today.... that was insane, IMO it was better than import vs domestic cuz it was a lot of the same fast cars from that show without all the junk trying to run inbetween. there were 2 black series class benz's there that were insane. big wreck too. ACR viper lost control at the end of the stretch an t-boned a new 335I. was quite a show

sounds like a good start, now we just need to get the rest of the 335's lined up out there and a few more vipers.

I can't wait to have a vehicle that is allowed on the track. It looks like a whole lot of fun even to go out and drive around in a slow car.

On the other hand I'm a firm believer in the track "beater" just in case something happens. If I were to stuff my Golf (or get hit) I'd only be out a couple hundred, nowhere near the cost of an ACR or a 335. Ouch. Hope their insurance covers that!!

word. sad that i missed it. did ahmad break his record? did the is300 break less than 8.7?

unless you have separate track insurance, then no. you generally wouldn't be covered. normal insurance companies don't sympathize with people who drive on the track.

i think it depends on the track. i'm not too familiar with the strip, but at summit point (road track) i think it's around 200 bucks for the day. or, they have a yearly deal if you frequent the track enough.

yeah, it's expensive, however, a lot cheaper than paying out of pocket.

Ben didnt run. No S4s ran at this rental, i would have ran if my clutch wasnt slipping. That IS300 didnt show up.

Ahmad beat his personal record and i think is now the fastest 55 off nitrous. Which is still slower than a Stage 3 tho ;)

ATCO used to be open the entire year, then they decided to close it for a couple of months during the winter. And ATCO is a good 2.5 hours north.

I went to the website , but all i can find is rental info. I guess they don't close but you have to rent it out to use it?

i didnt run at either event. and my fault about the other thread i never saw where you asked about my time. last time i tracked the car earlier this summer i went 13.1 on pump with a 1.86 60ft. then next pass on pump i had a 1.70 60ft which btw felt amazing leaving the line that hard, but go figure i get a great 60ft which shoulda put me at a 12.9 possibly an i miss shifted that pass.

oh an my car is still on ko3's, just a stg 2+
