Want to buy tires on Friday, Help me Doc!

Ok so I have a 00' A4 and I am torn between a few tires. Gonna be running 225/40 18. Looking to buy on Friday. What do you suggest? Im a college kid on a budget too.

1. Kumho Ecsta ASX
2. General Exclaim
3. Yokoham Avid H4 (Currently have these on my stock 15's)

I live in SC so it does not get too cold here. Could I actually use a summer tire or do I need all season?

The Yokohama (now H4S) is probable the least "performance oriented" tire in the group, and would be the most durable (around 40k miles). The General is going to be a little better than the Kumho in terms of dry grip and road noise, but neither tire should get more than 30k miles.

For the money, I'd do the Kumho ECSTA LX Platinum if you want durablity (with a high speed rating).
