Which also happens to be a STaSIS distributer. (Nalley Audi -- in case anyone from STaSIS reads this) and I went to ask the parts guy about the STaSIS flash. He had no idea on the price -- he told it was 21 to 2200. Which I know its not. More like 1500. And he told me that even if I wanted to spend the money today, I couldn't get my car flashed b/c they have to download the software from STaSIS and then flash my car. Which sounds fishy to me. I know that with any of the other programs from other tuners, there is a server which automates this process.

Long story short, b/c of a lack of knowledge in the parts department at a STaSIS dealer...I couldn't get the flash today....

I would think that if an Audi dealer is going to sell aftermarket parts, the parts people should know enough about it to sell them. The parts guy also wasn't very nice....

I'm not saying I was going to do it. I was curious. And I know that 1500 includes at 50000 mile warranty. Which I would only need half. So maybe some of that could be knocked down. However, I think I'm just going to wait and get either GIAC or REVO in the month or so. I was thinking of possibly going BT, but there is so much risk here. If i got into an accident and totaled my car and fucked the engine, that's 5-7k that I will be pissing away.

But if i got hit and lost 7k I'd be pissed. To each their own. It's just not a risk, at this point, I'm willing to take.

Hey man I agree with you. The performance value of a chip is significantly better than a big turbo. And considering the reliability concerns with BT it doesn't make sense to put one on an A4.

My dealer parts department are clueless also, unless your looking for parts for a later 90's Audi. However my dealer has a dedicated Motorsports department, two specialized techs, there own lifts and sales..

I havent been to a stasis dealer so I cant comment, on stasis. APR was under $700 with multiple programs, durning one of there promotions. It took about 1/2 hour or so.

i would try free trial of revo and apr first so when u dump the money into stasis you can see what youve missed. the warranty is cool but where's the torque?
