Audi Mechs or anyone with experience?

Hello, is there any audi mechanic on here near new york city that can help me out??

    Here's the story

So I dropped my car off today at the dealership because of rattling in the door panels and the rear deck/subwoofer

    very unhappy with the results.....

It feels like the overall quality of the B&O sound system decreased....
I feel like im not getting the bass i used to get...

When I was talking to the service rep I told him "rattling" now that im looking at the service report he wrote it down as "rear speakers are noisy"

Pretty much the rattle is still there....and I feel like through this mis-communication the tech lowered my bass output lower through vag com or something like that...is that possible??

I wish that i was just imagining this.....but somehow after listening to the same songs over and over at MAX volume...it just doesnt hit as hard as it used to....

any suggestions on what to do?? should i take it to another dealer?
Also, is there anyone in new york city that can help me compare??

Well, before you pay anyone you can probably easily fix this yourself.

First turn off your car, then hold the number "5" on your cd changer and press the power button on the radio. You'll probably see 555555555 if it is in stock form which it probably isn't cause the stealership changed the bass setting. The EQ settings go as followed.

    1. Front low bass
    2. Front mid bass
    3. Front midrange
    4. Front treble
    5. Rear low bass
    6. Rear mid bass
    7. Rear midrange
    8. Rear treble 1. Front low bass
    2. Front mid bass
    3. Front midrange
    4. Front treble
    5. Rear low bass
    6. Rear mid bass
    7. Rear midrange
    8. Rear treble

To adjust them turn the volum knob, to go to the next setting hit pscan. Mess with them till you get the sound you want.

Are you familiar/comfortable with working on your car at all? The rattling from the rear deck sub woofers is most likely the dust cover on the speakers. happens often unless they are just blown. To fix it you have to remove the rear deck lid, and look at the 2 speakers, see if the cover is loose (There is the center black piece and then the tan part that surrounds that, see if the tan part is loose) if so super glue or something to stick it back. Hopefully that fixes it. That would be my first 2 steps to do. BTW there is a diy for removing the rear deck lid, it is VERY simple.

this is on an a5 correct? this method was originally on b5 a4's and possibly b6 a4's. i dont think it will work on an a5. my advice would be to take it back to the dealership and speak with the service manager. he will most likely handle the situation himself and make sure everything is communicated/written properly, and that it wont leave until your issue is resolved. they will most likely give you a free loaner car as well (if they haven't already) to ensure your satisfaction. just dont slam them on the survey if they actually fix it this time. in my experience, the service department/manager will be way more helpful to someone who always gives good surveys as opposed to someone who always slams them for little shit. Give a lil, get a lil.
