My car is getting up to temp but I have know heat coming out of my vents. Any ideas welcome

check your heater core

First find the supply and return lines going through the firewall to the heater core. If one is hot and the other is cold the problem may be a clogged heater core. If neither are hot you probably have some air in the system. Slowly open the bleeder valve on the hard line running parallel to the fuel rail and as soon as coolant starts to flow out close it.

The heater core is under the dash. The lines you see in the pic are down around your right foot. If you find that you have one hot and one cold supply line I would recommend reverse flushing the heater core by running a pressure hose in the cold line and out the hot line. both will need to be disconnected from the block when you do this. Quite messy but less work than replacing the core if it works. (Thanks to JJ for the pic!)

when the car is idleing it has heat at low blow, but if you turn up the blower it seams to be colder air, and there is almost no heat while driving

is there a pic or can some one tell me wherei can find those lines in the engine bay and where i should undew the lines. also can i use a air pressure to clear it out?

They both go through the firewall at the back of the motor slightly toward the drivers side of the firewall. They are hard to get to, but fortunately can be disconnected by pulling out the wire retaining clip that holds them in place to the hard lines coming off the motor. One connects at the center rear of the block. The other connects below the back edge of the intake manifold. Once you find that one you can follow it down to where it goes through the firewall. The other line goes through the wall right beside of it. Unfortunately because of their location the job is fairly arduous.

it was the lower swing arm and as soon as a put a torch up to the joint it poped right out using my ball joint remover and then i went for a test drive and everything is good now. thanks again.

you and me both. final coast only about $200 including parts and tools and fluids. original coast for ne heater powerstearing pump and benz swing arm came to a total of 1100 so i save my self 900. and i am very happy.
