Just Wanted To Know If It Was Possible To Run A 19x8 Rim With A Offset Of 30 On My B6 S4 ?? I Know Stocks Are Either 35 Or 38 But Was Wondering If I Would Have A Problem Running A After Market Wheel With 30 Offset ??? Do I Need To Run Spacers With It ???

Also Could I Run A 215/35 19 Inch Tire With That ?? I Know If Will Fit The Rim But Just Wanted To Know How It Would Look And If Anyone Else Out There Has Pics Of There 19's With That Size Tire On There Car.

    Any Help Will Be Appreciated

    Thanks Guys

    Vinny

Don't quote me, but I think the B6 S4 rims are a 45 offset. As for the offset- I think a 30 offset may cause rubbing. The recommended offset for an 8" rim is 35. Again, though, don't quote me. I could be wrong (I haven't tried this size myself).

As for tire size, you are supposed to run a rim/tire combo where the rim is 80-90% the width of the tread (80% for comfy passenger cars and 85-90% for performance cars). On an 8 inch rim, that would be between a 225 and a 245 tire.

[Soapbox]Stretched tires are for poor "drifters" who can't afford bigger tires and/or who want to eliminate all flex in the sidewall to make breaking traction easier. No good can come from stretched tires... And they look like crap. I would never sacrifice the tire width for the sake of squeezing a wider wheel under the fender.[/Soapbox]

Please don't talk about something when you don't know anything You stretch tires so that you can go lower without rubbing, not because you want to drift your car. Plus the right amount of stretch looks awesome.

To answer the question, the avus' are 18x8 with an et of 45. Therefore the new wheels will poke 15mm, no reason you should rub if you're at stock height.

A 8.5 at ET32 is about as close to fender as you can go, and that is lowered. So an 8 at ET30 should be fine, but worth double checking.

Edit: above of 8.5 is true of 235-35-19 but often not 245-35-19, depending on tire. I'm not certain which tire size is best for 19x8, but probably 225-35-19 or maybe 225-40-19. You could also probably use 235-35-19.
