19" Wheel Setups!!

1. 19x8.5 (Fronts) / 19x9.5 (Rears)
2. 19x9 (on all corners)

Only, if it's Notorious P.H.A.T., then it's ok.

9 and 9.5 are pushing it for the S4. 9.5 is RS4 terrirotry for aftermarket (stock is 9).
Most S4s will run x8 (stock) or x8.5

If lowered with either 9" and 9.5" widths, it'll be tough to avoid rubbing unless high offsets are used.

From what I understand if you want to run a staggered setup then you have to make sure that the overall diameter of the front and rear's are spot on. I'm not looking to run a meaty tire, so I know I shouldn't have a problem with fitment/rubbing issues (given the right offset fo the wheel). I love some stretch so the tire of choice would be a 225/35/19.

That's funny, stillclaimingDP. I just bought the exact same year, model and color car as you and I'm also trying to find either a gunmetal (ideally) or black 19" rim. Ironic since I'm trying to make my car look a little different and you're only 15 minutes away from me with the same goal/vision. So much for standing out, haha.

As for size, I'm not staggering, cuz there's no advantage. And I hate stretched tires, so I'm going either 19x8 or 19x8.5 with either a 235 or a 245 tire.

Hey man - I know what you're saying about stretch for sure. Looks siick until it gets ridiculous. But, it's really not good. You can throw a 225 on an 8.5 and you'd get a REAL solid amount of stretch, but 225 on an 9.5 really isn't smart. bad for tire wear (center of tread raises and get more wear on edges) and it really puts your sidewall at a higher chance of failing/ripping.

I'm going to be running a 20x8.5 (et 36) and a 20x9.5 (et 38), and I'm going to run a 245/30/20 all around. The fronts will look relatively normal, but the backs are going to start stretching a bit ;). Also, I've heard different answers about this, a 38 offset is without a doubt the lowest offset than can be run with a 9.5 inch wheel. Penguin runs this on his 20" BBS LM's and I will be running it with my RSGT's---and we will be UBER close to the fender in the rear.

Yes, I have some rubbing issues but I'm not onn sport shocks + I have a wrong toe rates right now ( its +1.2, it should be 0.2 ) So the rears of the rear tyres ar rubbing, when the toe corrected, it will be fine :)

Staggered setup is fine.

I ran 19x8.5 ET33 front w/ 235/35/19 and 19x9.5 ET33 rear w/ 265/30/19

That's as flush to the fender as you can get without rubbing and I was on shocks/springs

What a trip! I am thinking either 19" VMR 708 or VMR 710 with Matte Black but still considering gun metal or silver... I think that wheel has the best value for the resulting look of the car, I had the V708 Onyx Black on my Black B6 S4 as well but I DO NOT recommend that color unless you want a dark chrome wheel. The VMR is 19x8.5" so it needs a 245, i tried 235 for a day, it looked like crap.

Tell you what, you get gun metal, ill go matte black, and if we prefer the other's wheel we can trade lol. I am going 245/35/19 for tires and I am probably going with either the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports (had these on my B6) or the Sumitomo HTR ZIII (Z2 was crap but I saw A LOT of Z3 reviews stating they are nothing alike and it's a great tire... AWESOME price too.

my last setup was 19x8.5 et 39 up front and 19x9.5 et 32 out back. with 225/35/19 all around.

a 225 on a 8.5 will barely stretch, on a 9.5 the stretch is damn good.

ill look and see if i can find any pics detailing the wheel fittment.

Keep in mind that some tires do run wider than others, so some of the 225's you put on 8.5 may not look stretched at all. With that being said, any 235 or 245 on 8" or 8.5" wheel will not be stretched whatsoever, and some people do prefer 245's for better grip and ride quality.

If you guys are interested in the Matte Black finish, unfortunately we are sold out of our limited stock we got in. We do have some Gunmetal sets available and of course Hyper Silver. Let me know if you guys need any help with wheel/tire package combos.

iForged left my specs blank on my slip, so I couldn't tell you. No spacers, but I did have to shave off a very tiny bit of the rear calipers to prevent rubbing.

yeah, i figured.
does iForged always process orders like that? where you tell them the size(e.g. 19x8.5) of the wheel and the size of the lips you want, then they make the wheel that fit your car perfectly?

I didn't specifiy any offsets when I ordered my rims, they just built them. I could have squeezed out another 1/2" lip on the fronts, but pretty happy with the way they look.
