took my car in for an oil change, and also to get my antenna looked at cause it was static, and also my glove box wont open the latch is broken. Turns out i have to replace the entire glove box($400) they just cant fix the opener, and also the antenna is cracked i guess so another $350. Looks like its time to call the wreckers haha.

first mistake was going to the dealer for that stuff... they're going to charge you an arm, leg, and your first born.

look up the glovebox DIY to see if that applies to you (you could save some big $$$)

also, invest the time in learning to do oil changes yourself - it's a great way to start doing more work on your car on your own, and will also save you some $

as for the antenna, take it to an independent shop and see what they say about cost of repairs... i bet it'll be less than you think

My glove box broke as well... I just taped the secondary pin on the bottom and now it will open and close. It gets stuck otherwise and prevents it from being opened.

Some of you guys are LAZY LAZY LAZY! Use the search here, I've posted the part numbers to fix the glovebox AND antenna thing. Very easy to do. Also posted where to buy genuine Audi parts online for cheap.

Or pay out the ^$@ at the dealer and be LAZY.

    It's entirely your choice.

Going to the dealership for repairs that are not under warranty is foolish unless you have NO choice. They don't repair things, they only do remove and replace. You should be able to repair the glove box yourself. Most have the hinge that breaks, and have various strategies to repair. Sounds like yours may be the latch. If so, you may be able to buy just a latch, or door at a reasonable price and replace. Also check your local salvage yards to see if any of them have B6 A4s. No reason you couldn't use one from a scrap yard.

Depending on what is broken, the antenna shouldn't be too difficult. I would imagine it is replaceable from the outside.
