Got my car Dynoed today

I'll have the dyno sheet up later tonight. The Dyno run was done on a MAHA dyno. but these were the numbers:
276.9 hp- to the crank
185 hp- wheels
323.1 lbf.ft- of torque

Nice numbers, what mods do you have?

^^basically all the bolt on things you can put on. AWE FMIC, TP, Milltek cat-back, fuel pump upgrade, water/meth, revo st2, forge DV, crank pulley, GSG intak pipe. I was running 7-8-9 settings on my best run which was this.

Wow I guess that type of dyno reads pretty low then. I have all the same mods except I have APR and no water/meth.

they have you at almost 33% loose at the wheels .. thats really odd ..

that is a huge power loss... are you sure that the 185 wheel hp is the top hp, not the hp at the top crank hp level?

when i dynoed mine on a maha dyno it put stated that the max wheel hp was 185 which wasnt the case, it was 185 wheel hp when the max crank hp was reached... my max hp was just shy of 200 (194 if i remember correctly, not a huge difference, but still)

PS - my FWD drag power was measured at 57 HP (which i believe means that at max crank HP 57 HP is lossed through drivetrani, im sure someone will correct me tho)

Drivetrain loss depends on the dyno. Some loose mid 20s while others loose low thirties.

i guess you got your water/meth set up with revo right? did you datalog or just go on what kmd's dyno said? i cant believe youre car is that low on wheel hp though. its gotta be more than that.........

that dyno suxs. 22-25% is the norm for awd dyno. Just put it this way if you are breaking the 270's hp range, you should deff be some where in the 220+'sawhp

Yea even after the 2nd run we cranked up the timing to 8 and boost to 7 because my car was handling it fine.

I thought you were already running boost 7? correct me if im wrong, but i heard that moving from boost 6 to boost 7 increases torque numbers but decreases peak hp a little. How did your pulls come out with boost 6?

Nope..Manual. For the guys running revo I have a question. In first and second gear when your reall get on the car, does the boost spike to 20 and then go down to about 15 and hold there for awhile? I noticed my boost hold at about 21 real well when I'm in high gears but for the lower gears it'll fluctuate.

I've never dyno'd a tip for more than 165awhp. I see the 6spd going for far more than that though.

How are they figuring the crank numbers without actually pulling the engine and doing an engine dyno? Calculations based on drivetrain loss will be way off. The only number to worry about is wheel hp/tq

Exactly. I don't care if you had a GT35R on that car and made 600chp, if you only make ~180whp, that's all you make.

ultimately full bolt ons on an A4 with a stock turbo will get you about a 20-30% gain in power. No matter which dyno you test it on, if you baseline first, then dyno after mods, you will see about that same % of gain. If you compare that gain to the stock crank power you end up with 250-270 crank horsepower. That's all these cars can put out with the K03. That also is in line with the ~ 14.00 second 1/4 mile times these maxed out K03 setups seem to produce.

Nice numbers. For comparison (and I have a B6, but it was on the same MAHA dyno): 244.8chp (180.9whp), 312.8 ft/lbs.

Can you scan and post your dyno sheet? I'm curious to see the tq curve on the 2.0T...
