Nasty's new front end (99% complete)

Yo,

Got the Seidl back from paint, got my RS4 fog grilles and my nice big fogs from ebay. Fit everything and wired everything today and I figured I would post a few pics. I am still waiting on yellow lamin-x, and a seat cupra lip since the fmic comes just a hair past the bumper. Also picking up a sealant to seal around the fog grilles as they don't fit the seidl 100%.

With this setup I was able to retain the bumper support, and working fogs. RS4 OEM fogs would have worked as well, but these aftermarket ones are bigger and better IMO.

personally i'm not feeling the FMIC hanging below the bumper, but you do get to keep the bumper support so that's cool. as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters.

i think Funkweasel has the one you wanted. OEM RS4 knock-off in fiberglass, pre molded for S4 fenders.

mine is OEM modified, for now...

nasty- that will look ill when you get the seat cupra lip on. i bet you can't even see the fmic unless you were looking at it from the angle the pics were taken. not too noticeable

Idk, I might change up the grilles although I just picked up the RS4 fog grilles as shown in the pics and I had to modify them to fit these fogs.

Seat cupra lip is in the mail! I tried to bring the fmic up a little but it's already scraping the top of the bumper support so I'm beat on that.

Not feeling it totally, to each his own, but I know you are putting a lip on it and fixing the grills. Have to wait to see when its finished. Just wondering what FMIC set up you are using?

Glad your moving forward with it...

my only advice (although minor) would be to try and adjust the driver side a bit more and close that gap and perhaps paint your FMIC piping black to blend in with the mesh better and leave the core the way it is. With the Lip youll hide the bottom of the Core anyways.

The Fogs are a personal taste (im a Suby guy too ! ) but they do look a little oversized for the the b5.

I worked on the fitment of the grilles this morning and sealed them up where there were gaps with the silicone sealant.

The seat cupra lip is on its way and I agree that it'll look much better with it.

Anybody know a good aftermarket foglight that's a bit smaller? I had to modify the hell out of the openings for these fogs so I'd have to figure out a way to close them back up..

Was going to do that in a bit. I think you guys will like it better with the whole car in frame. I went back outside and stared at the fogs for about 10 minutes. Damn you AZ'ers. Got me thinkin now and I originally liked the look. Now I'm eh..

I personally think it would look better if you got rid of the grills and fogs, left the pipes exposed as is or painted them black. It would look raw and mean. With the grills and fogs, it looks kinda oem cleanish but makes the front end not as mean.

But then again it's your car and we all know you have really gay tastes...did you order those neon underbody lights yet?

good to see that you fixed the grills lol, little things like that drive me nuts! my bumper wont stay flush on my drivers side either, why?!

just check out hella fog lights thats who makes the stock ones, I had to get new ones this summer cause the previous owner had cracked one, but I do not recall where I found them, possibly flea-bay.

so from your experience with the bumper, what would you say would be the most cost effective and easiest fitment for rs4/rieger lookingish bumpers?

it looks sick dont get me wrong but i personally like stock s4 bumper with the fmic beind it. That bumper looks too flat under and way to picked up if you know what i mean. But it doesnt look bad at all. Post some pics with the cupra lip..maybe it will look much better...and with the laminx..hopefully for the fogs..they look a bit cheap how they are.

Are you planning to put the rs4 mesh in the center as well? I think with that, the lip, and the fog gaps sealed it will look good. Interested to see how it looks with the lip!

For fog replacements, since your from the suby world, look into the GC8 P1 hella Fogs- a quick search around you should be able to find the hella lamp used in those fog covers.

i'm not really that opposed to the fog lights, i think the yellow lamin-x will help a lot. and if you haven't done the fog light mod, do it. they'd look really cool illuminated by themselves. how's that lip comin? pics!
