Anyone upgrade NA Xenons to Ecode Xenons?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently upgraded my NA Spec Adaptive Bixenons to Ecode Adaptive Bixenons.

They currently won't auto level or move with my steering wheel.

Has anyone done this upgrade? If so, do I need to change setting with a Vag Com cable? I assumed that the settings would have been retained in my car but I guess that is not the case. Jens has informed me that the ballasts are the brain of the xenons. I don't want to have to pull the bumper again to put my ballasts on.

So if anyone has done this upgrade, can you tell me what I need to change in order for them to work? Also, would the ebay cable be sufficient to change the setting or would I need a full Can compatible cable from Ross Tech.

    Thanks!

    Anyone? Anyone?

Well how about those who upgraded from halogens to Xenons? Did you happen to see any auto leveling or adaptive functions while vag com'n??

yeah your going to need to re-adapt them with VAGCOM. You can adjust the level also and have your headlights learn the new settings if needed.

Is it normal that they don't move at all right now?

    Have two questions for you....

    1. Where/how much did you pic up the Euro lights for?

    2. Are you sure they are adaptive?Heard some xenons were not.

Re: Anyone upgrade NA Xenons to Ecode Xenons?

I got them from Jens.. for a pretty penny. lol

He assured me that they are Adaptive BiXenons. He knows I have the adaptive function. He also told me that they are hard to come by because most euro owners opt out of that feature.

It's a PITA right now because the headlight malfunction light keeps blinking at me. That and my brake malfunction light. LOL

I will be selling them, but for now I am holding on to them until I figure out the auto leveling. I'd rather have auto leveling and adaptive working then ecodes.
