As one member on
www.rs246.com pointed out when looking at your posts here, your "taster" photos show superchargers with a manifold that has holes for indirect injectors, so are not suitable for either the RS4 or R8 - only the S4.
This is a very minor detail indeed. The injectors holes simply do not have to be machined for the FSI models. We do all the machning in house at VF. In this case, the casting misses one step out.
Just how far are you with the development of a supercharger for the RS4 or R8? We've already had three wasted years waiting for MTM ..., and that's seriously damaged their reputation.
We have mounted and located all the pertinent components in the RS4. The only issue is the hood does not close because the FSI rails restrict the location of the blower. We have options that our engineers are currently looking at. In the meantime, we are not suggesting anyone hold their breath for 3 years. We have NO timeframe.
Our posts state very clearly "this is what we are doing". If posting pics and info on our "projects" is going to cause harm to certain enthusiasts, then we suggest them opening our threads with "care". MTM is also a highly professional company and similarly we take pride and our time to only release products when we believe they are ready. Some projects never even make it to the shelf. Some realism and logic would go a long way in this respect.
Automakers release "concept" cars at major car shows to show the market and get feedback. Similarly we are showing off our "projects/concepts", and it does not imply any form of contractual obligation, contract or promise.
We hope you enjoy the pics of our project cars and we look forward to sharing our progress with you!
