    VF corral for November!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
VF have been working very diligently on many projects lately. Some of you may know as we have installed many kits in the last month.

We are working specifically on our E92 M3 Forced Induction package as we now have 2 in house cars to engineer.
We have a multi platform Audi Forced Induction system being designed currently.
We are also tuning our stage 3 E46 M3 product as well as in the future maybe some advanced tuning of our Porsche line.

This is a very exciting time at VF right now. We are seeing some very exotic and high end cars coming in on a daily basis. This is truly an enthusiasts dream!

Cheers and hopefully some more pictures soon!

Be nice to have some answers to the many questions about the S/C for the RS4 and R8 - and not just more "teaser" posts.

At the moment, we are not going to put out any more teaser info than we have! Unfortunately we cannot really answer any qs or speculate on the S5, RS4 & R8 superchargers as it is too early in the development phase. But as we make progress we will post it for sure !

As you spoil it by posting a picture of a Beemer and a Porker!

I think many of us would prefer you to spend your time on getting the development right, rather than all these pointless posts.

IF you can prove a reliable installation on an RS4 & R8 then you could get good business - but only if you haven't alienated your potential customers beforehand!

    Ha ha!

Many of our customers own several cars accross the brands and we are finding that the cross marketing brings in viewers from other forums such as 6speedonline, m3forum, vortex etc. We often find enthusiasts with our products looking buy 2nd or 3rd cars around which proucts we have.

The forums yield interesting opinions, so no matter what we post there will be a response (postive or negative). Ultimately its all about enjoyment for us and sharing it. So if we post pictures of 500hp 911s or M3s as well as R8s or GTIs, its because we are enthusiasts of German performance cars and nothing else!

VF- I don't even own a car that you have posted about (yet) but I do plan on picking up an M3 (E46 or E90) or RS4 in the next 1-2 years. I love seeing all high-performance German automobilia, and appreciate yall's steady picture-heavy contributions to the forums! Don't listen to the hate, keep up the good work!

johntesi - good point, you are an example of an inter-brand / inter-forum enthusiast.

S4 Tip - We have a local car in LA ready for testing. Currently we do not plan to start it until Jan, but it is on the cards.

Many of us would like to enjoy our RS4s and/or R8s in supercharged form - so we want you to get the engineering right.

As one member on www.rs246.com pointed out when looking at your posts here, your "taster" photos show superchargers with a manifold that has holes for indirect injectors, so are not suitable for either the RS4 or R8 - only the S4.

Just how far are you with the development of a supercharger for the RS4 or R8? We've already had three wasted years waiting for MTM ..., and that's seriously damaged their reputation.

This is a very minor detail indeed. The injectors holes simply do not have to be machined for the FSI models. We do all the machning in house at VF. In this case, the casting misses one step out.

We have mounted and located all the pertinent components in the RS4. The only issue is the hood does not close because the FSI rails restrict the location of the blower. We have options that our engineers are currently looking at. In the meantime, we are not suggesting anyone hold their breath for 3 years. We have NO timeframe.

Our posts state very clearly "this is what we are doing". If posting pics and info on our "projects" is going to cause harm to certain enthusiasts, then we suggest them opening our threads with "care". MTM is also a highly professional company and similarly we take pride and our time to only release products when we believe they are ready. Some projects never even make it to the shelf. Some realism and logic would go a long way in this respect.

Automakers release "concept" cars at major car shows to show the market and get feedback. Similarly we are showing off our "projects/concepts", and it does not imply any form of contractual obligation, contract or promise.

We hope you enjoy the pics of our project cars and we look forward to sharing our progress with you!

    Re: VF corral for November!!!

well i appreciate the posts to see what you guys are currently working on. its exciting times to see all these cars...well all the audis at least .

i know everyone wants it now...wants numbers, 1/4 mile. and every other number...not sure why everyone is so damn impatient. it happens when it happens. whether its 2 weeks or 2 years or 10. i'd rather know something is coming and plan for it than not know at all.

hey nik, what about the issue with using the wiper fluid reservoir for the SC coolant...have u guys been able to make the new 'container' and mount it to fit the current S4 kits, or are we still gonna be without wiper fluid?

As I stated in other threads. All production kits will come with injection molded tank for coolant/water. Only my car and AWE's car is using the windshield washer reservoir
