    Passenger Side Mirror Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am wondering if anyone can offer some insight into this...i trashed my passenger side mirror last night backing out of my garage and discovered that there are 2 wires connected to the glass itself. I am assuming these are for the heated mirror function...the thing is my car apparently doesnt have that function. how would i enable that feature?

    thanks

    Re: Passenger Side Mirror Question

I think all S4's have heated mirrors. The glass itself is like $275 just for that reason.

Do you have the Premium Package - included are auto-dimming and power folding exterior mirrors.

I believe all have heated mirrors already.

    power mirrors im guessing?

wires might have something to do with the 45 degree tilt when you throw it in reverse?

    Re: Passenger Side Mirror Question

i dont think it is. that should be controlled by the main tilt mechanism.

The tilt is done by the main motors (as already said), and only happens if you have the drivers seat memory option.

Wires to the actual mirror glass are one of two things:

    1) heater element.

    2) auto-dimming mirror control.

Since All S4's have heated mirrors (controlled by the heated rear window switch, and only turning on if the outside temperature is below 12 Celsius) I reckon they are 1).
