power steering oil / pump question

last few days when i start the car i hear a noise that wasnt there before. loud whine like noise i can hear from inside and outside just standing next to the car.

I feel a vibration in the steering which leads me to believe its comming from the power steering. Last night i got in the car... i heard the warning buzzer go off 3 times consecutivly but no warning came up on the screen. After that everything seems to be fine.

I thinkjng i didnt give the car enough time to warm up before i went crazy in the snow comming home from work on tuesday maybe?

Anyone else encounter something like this?

didnt even think of that! .. will do that right away

i checked the owner manual and they dont talk about power steering.....


How do you check the level?

open the cap, wipe off the dip stick and either:

a. close the cap properly and re-open to check where the level is on the stick; or

b. lay the ring that sits 3/4 up on the dip stick on the side of the opening and check the level from there?

the cap has a dip stick on it with min/max on it. open the cap and check the level.

Do you check this cold or warm

I have a strange vining noise when the motor is cold but goes away when it gets warm. The noise comes from under the engine so I assume its the oil pump that have this strange supercharger noise. Anyone els that has this?
