    rear ended

So I got rear ended yesterday. He hit me hard enough to push me into the truck in front of me. So now I need a front and a rear bumper. Honesty I'm surprised that the damage was so minor. He hit me hard enough to open the moon roof cover and make the owners manual fall on the floor (from it's position under the steering wheel), my coffee learned how to fly and my head rest got tested.

I'm not real crazy about "full" body kits so what front bumper would look good with stock painted lowers? As it sets now its completely stock.

post pictures please....I've been looking but I need all the help I can get.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Re: rear ended

Do you have a USP? I'm assuming not so I would recomend a USP front bumper and an S4 rear. If you buy the pieces online you from DTH you onlyk need to buy the lower part, and there are DIY's on how to mold just the bottom part to the rest of the bumper.

    Re: rear ended

Dude, get insurance to pay for USP!!!!! Try to go to a reputable body shop and ask them to order USP instead of regs.

IMO, you are so lucky! I've been wanting to get slightly rearended and pushed into the car in front so that I can get USP . Or at least the plan sounds good...

    Re: rear ended

Happened to me. Got the S4 rear and mufflers out of it.
    Any damage to your exhaust?

Most insurances are cool with getting upgraded OEM equipment and you paying the little extra so with a S4 rear it was $60 more for me. And Then they can hand you a check for exhaust. One of my mufflers was worth both magnaflows with $20 extra for dinner that night hihi!

    Re: rear ended

i dont think that thats enough damage to get a new bumper. Its probably a bit cheaper to get it fixed. Then again, getting it fixed isnt tall that cheap anyway....

    Re: rear ended

i think you might need a new front if you get lucky with the insurance... but the rear is just dimpled from the bolts on there plate frame... no way insurance will do anything about that

    Re: rear ended

yes they will....the front and rear will be replaced. I won't have it any other way.

Either way I will be getting the Oettinger front with the S4 rear and S4 door blades. I've been a little bored with the A4 anyways so now is my time to make some changes.

    Re: rear ended

just ordered the S4 door blades on the ECS group buy....great price $350+ free shipping.

now I'm thinking I should sell my Moven SP10's (18") wheels and get some 19" RS4 replicas...how will that look with the Oettinger front, S4 rear, S4 door blades and stock painted lower rocker panels?

    Re: rear ended

how did you ever get the insurance to agree to a new front and rear? and are you paying the difference or are they covering the cost of the bumpers?

They are paying for new stock bumpers and I will pay the difference for the S4 rear and the Oettinger front.

    Re: rear ended

yeah, I guess I should of made that more clear. Thats exactly what I was planing to do. I'm also going to have the lowers painted and I hope that my S4 door blades get here soon. I'll post pictures when its complete.

I also want to get my 18" Moven SP10's powder coated matte black. I might even have a red stripe on the lip.

What do you guys think of black wheels with red stripe on the lip?

    like this car:

Time attack might look good, but I usually only like it on 19"s.
