What kind of power do you expect with that setup? I am still learning my way around the modding these cars. Until I am fully confident I am not doing a single performance upgrade, lol.

I have this mani, have been running it for about 2.5 months...generally speaking i like it quite a bit. turbo placement for my particular setup could not have been much more ideal, although the location of the external wastegate makes it a bit more difficult to access should the need arise.

What A/R are you using? The .70?

I've talked to Ian about his setup w/ the SPA and S256, but he has some hybrid stuff done to his and he's only running a .55A/R.

He ran 325whp @ 18psi though, he's up to 25-26psi now, but I think the A/R is what's killing him.

Yah I thought about going with an S256 but I decided to go with 3071r, I wanted to remain with an oil/water cooled setup.

    Im running a .63A/R

I'm currently running the .55, and have another exhaust turbine housing waiting for when I need it. My file is still in a bit of development, but I ran about 317 awhp at 22lbs on a very conservative superflow dyno on a file with all of 4hrs of development time into it. The .55 is ok, not really the hangup thus far in my development and I'm running 25psi currently. My setup is getting some changes once this file is totally dialed in...and my shop and I both strongly feel there is a bit of power yet to be released on that side of the turbo. Well see soon! Either way the turbo is no slouch...at 25psi I know fo a fact I'm making a pile more power in my current state of tune then I was when on the dyno last.

Not bad at all. I'm assuming your spool is very similar to his on the .55 A/R?

He's running the S258 comp wheel in his S256, so it's claimed to run 58lbs, that's why I think the A/R is killing him. (I know Ian could read this if he wanted, sorry Ian, but it's my $.02)

Being that BullsEye is <45mins from my house, I'd like to use one of their turbos sometime, but I haven't seen anything that would make me pick them over anything else.

The bullseye was a very specific choice for me because I live over 5500 ft of elevation. This is a huge difference in total amount of air moved, and the extended tip technology doesn't exist in the garrett series for similar output at the same pricepoint. Up here, I currently hit "supernova" at 4000 rpm and run out to 8k rpm, all holding 24-25 lbs currently. I'm a built 1.8, not 2.0, so I would say even way up here that powerband is pretty extraordinary. 28 series turbos up here are done at 7500 on 2.0 liters. So far I am very happy. I get into boost and the power curve is nice and flat. Also boost is very nicely controllable.

    Re: SPA Manifold

I guess I wasn't thinkin about elevation when you made 317@22psi. Those numbers are even more impressive then.

Depending on what displacement I would decide to go with I was considering the BullsEye, HTA or GT30xx. I don't have the elevation issues you have though, as I'm in MI.

cant take all the credit...that was corrected. uncorrected was 265awhp and similar tq. still not bad coming from 190awhp on the k04-15 ethanol tuned uncorrected, and that 190 # was on a not-so-conservative dynojet, not the heartbreaking superflow.

Jordan posted the difference between the two same day for reference...the dynojet is markedly higher (he was in the 370 awhp range vs over 400 corrected between the two dynos) so I am extremely happy regardless.

not gng to get into the corrected vs uncorrected game...no 1.8t or 2.0 anything is gonna make 400awhp up here without MAJOR mike hood style work in the car. we have to use that up here as a reference for you air breathing peeps down at sea-level....

    Just a quick update !

I installed this manifold in 20 minutes !

    - No cutting, no sanding just a quick and easy install !
    - I used a 12mm open ended wrench and a 12mm socket to tighten the bolts.
    - the fit and finish of this manifold is A +

Ill post pictures in the morning.

Good for you though! Are you SURE you checked to make sure that none of the bottom studs are hitting the manifold?

Yes you can use regular bolts, but they most likey won't last very long...

PM if you want to order a nice stud/nut/locker combo

When going with a BAT setup (this is for everyone)....How is the turbo and manifold weight supported?

I would assume its not just by the exhaust manifold flange!

Yes it is, some guys fab a support, but most simply rely on the Manifold

Right now Im running into an issue. I cant seem to find a way to route the oil return line

    Re: SPA Manifold

I dont like how low the turbo sits, and yea damn, oil return didnt think about that did ya? Looks like your going to need at least a 45 if not a 90 1/2" - 10an fitting coming out of the turbo

This mani may be more efficient but I definitely like the ATP fitment/look much better!
