When is this item coming out. I was hoping it was coming out sometime in November but it looks doubtful. I guess if it doesn't come out by the end of the year I will just go with EVOMS...

    Re: GSG CAI

Does this CAI need to be paired with a FMIC? Or will it just be a direct bolt on w/o any modifications?

    Details please...thanks!

There was an explaination about why you need a front mount a few weeks back. The CAI uses the air flow from where the passenger side SMIC is.

Please explain what you mean, I was hoping it would be something like a direct bolt on EVOMS thing. I would be willing however to tinker around with my car in order to fit the GSG one though.

    Re: GSG CAI

Await the GSG guys. All I remember is that the SMIC has to be removed. Sorry I can't explain further but this is pretty much what I know.

    Re: GSG CAI

Yes you need to run a FMIC with their CAI. The filter sits down close to where the passenger SMIC is.

    Re: GSG CAI

Yeah its EVoms for me, I cant install both an FMIC and a CAI. I mean I would like to, but that is incredibly expensive.

Althought I like concept around the GSG CAI, I'm just not ready to spend that much loot in one shot. I'm sure they'll run a deal on their FMIC & CAI as a combo

At the other thread, there is explanation that they will possibly drop the price when the CAI is released.

    Re: GSG CAI

They say it will run with an AWE FMIC. But now I am going to buy an EVOMS because it would be way too expensive for me to buy all of those parts.

    Re: GSG CAI

Oh God !!! My PM box is blown up.

I will post a reply for everyone here.

Dyno will be done today in Washington on my "all season\rain" test car.

CAI will be $375. (this is pipe AND filter so nothing else is needed)
The GSG TIP\Intake Pipe does NOT work with this setup as it is the complete package and thus you DO NOT need to buy both.

FMIC will be reduced to $800 for people that are needing one still.
Don't forget this includes the upper piping AND a power steering cooler, both of which are not offered on other kits with the exception on AWE.
This will fit any other aftermarket FMIC's. I've tested on all I know except for Greddy but I'm confident it will fit on that as well as the piping seems to run the same as others.

Our CAI is the ONLY ONE on the market that actually pulls in fresh air and not heated underhood engine bay air. It pulls it fresh from the passenger bumper grill area so you can be assured temps are going to be over 40% cooler that is getting pulled into the engine than the conventional CAI's on the market.
    Free shipping on the combo.

SOUNDCLIP - NO ENGINE MODS other than the GSG FMIC\CAI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avH_-FofP88

***I have a small number of units coming in and already have several presold quite a few so if you are interested in getting one out of the 1st shipment you might want to jump in soon.
These will be released the 1st week of December and ship out on the 2nd week just in time for Christmas. You WILL GET IT before the 25th if you order in time.
The next arrival of units is going to be sometime in late January so if you're not ready now then that's when I expect the next batch to be in.

    Re: GSG CAI

6hp \ 5tq increase are the official dyno results.
The last one we did with the FMIC and TIP yielded 162hp\193tq.
Same setup but with the CAI in place of the TIP is 168hp\198tq.
The stock car put down 153hp\170tq so that is a total increase of +15hp\+28tq. That's around a 15% increase in power across the board.
Very sucessful results and around what I had anticipated. Given the amazing sound and proven performance this is going to be a must have for anyone looking to vastly improve their engine and overall just start to truely enjoy the car like it was brand new again.
Duce is emailing me the dyno once he gets back home so I will post the graph shortly.
