P1545 Code - Need Some Help

So i just sold my girlfriends 97 audi a4 1.8t and it is not starting at the moment. The guy who bought it knows that but he is not picking it up for a couple days. I thought it might be a nice suprise for him if it was running when he picked it up. This way he can save the money on a tow.

So far i have disconnected and reconnect the battery a million times. I did actually get it to run for a little while but i was only able to go up and down the driveway. Once or twice and it would not let me go past like 2000 rpms.

The way i got it to work was disconnected the battery then reconnected it left the key in the ignition for about ten minutes then tryed starting it and it started. unfortunatley the next day it wasnt starting again.

    Any suggestions?
Do you thing the TB is shot or it just needs to be recalibrated?
Unfortunatley i dont have a vag com

    Thank you

disconnect your battery for like 20minutes then turn the key to accessory and wait like 5 minutes n start it. See what happens. and maybe try cleaning it.

yeah, just a carb/throttle body cleaner. I would try the throttle body adapt first though, first thing i told u to do. You said you left the key in, was it on accessory? it needs to be.
