ABS problems after replacing coil springs

I just had OEM springs put back on my car after i decided that i wanted it back to normal height for the winter season now i'm having problems with my brakes. The ABS light stays on and for the first thrity seconds of driving my brake pedal is really hard to press down like the system is under a lot of pressure. The sensor wires all look fine as do the brake lines them selves. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what could be wrong? is there some kind of level sensor that effects the braking like some vehicles have?
