    What does mbar stand for? is it milibar?

    How do you convert mbar to psi?

    I'm logging block 115 on vag with my car and it says the requested boost is around 1800 mbar. what is that when converted to psi?

    I tried googling it and its saying 26psi. but that cant be right. my gauge is saying around 12psi for 1800 mbar. just wanted to make sure its accurate

    the requested boost compared to actual boost is pretty close. Anyway if someone knows what 1800 mbar is converted to psi that would be great.
    or even better what 1810, 1820, 1830 are converted as well.

    Thanks

    1 millibar = 0.0145037738 pounds per square inch ...do you have a calculator? make sure you subtract relative atmospheric pressure ~900mbar or ~14psi ....I thought I'd answer your question before you get flamed.

    milli is the prefix, like in milliliter and millimeter, so milli = 0.001

    also, 1000 mbar = 1 bar. you can finish up from here.

    return (millibar - 1000) * 0.0145037738;

    This was very helpful:

    1830 - 1000 * .0145037738 = 11.89 psi

    So my guage seams pretty accurate to what the actual boost it is being requested.

    Thanks and flame away. I used to be good at math. Ok maybe not.
