Which of these sets of coilpacks do I want?

The second link of coils are not for our year 2.7T. Those are the same coils the 1.8t and 2.0t engines use and will only work with 03'-up 2.7t in the ALLROADS and A6's.

First ones are the right ones.

Yeah. The brand is Hamburg Technic and I've heard 90% bad things about their suspension components, but haven't heard a single thing about their coil packs, positive or negative.

There called FCP Groton. There was a thread from awhile ago and they came recomended.

i dont even get why you'd get them off ebay??? when there's ecs tuning, genuinevwaudiparts. etc that sell OEM shit, coil packs are what 30$ each? don't take risks on low cost items and unknown companies :)

Funny you should say that because the one's hiPSI is talking about actually are different than the one's I listed, and ECS sells them. The one's FCP groton sells are supposedly made by a company named Prenco, which ECS sells for $52 and ECS also sells Meyle for $46.

Why pay $318 + shipping for the exact same coils that sell for $135 shipped, that's 42% of the price, not a small difference. I may consider these instead if they've got a good reputation because they're even cheaper than the Hamburg Technic.

Where are you buying OEM coilpacks for 30 bucks.

There more like 47-60 bucks depending on where you buy them.
There was a thread on the company in question and they have great feedback.
Nothing wrong in trying, i have bought enough oem coils, decided i'd try another.

Also, apparently the Prenco has a lifetime warranty where the Hamburg's make no mention of one. I'm looking into the details of the warranty and will post when I know.

Just curious, do you drive a B5 S4? None of the coils listed on that page are for one, try this page and then they're $55/per

Like PSI I've bought my fair share of OEM coils as well and at well less than half the price (and since I don't necessarily have an issue, rather just replacing them with fresh ones when I upgrade), I think it'll be worth me taking the risk on the Prenco. I haven't heard a single bad thing about them, and they've got a lifetime warranty, so if they go to crap I'll just get them replaced and sell them on ebay

i just recieved my fcp's and so far they work great! who knows how long they will last but so far so good. now i can run 24psi since there are no misfires ;)

Keep us updated! And just so I don't spread misinformation, I'm pretty sure the FCP ones are not Prenco (what did yours say on the box?). I sent them an email and they couldn't give me neither a manufacturer's name nor country of origin. I assume they are the Hamburg Technic ones as well because FCP used to (still does?) sell the Hamburg Technic control arms. Either way, they sell them cheaper than the other ebay link I put in the first post. Be sure to report back, good or bad!

Also I have since heard of one person continue having misfires with these packs, so it may or may not be the coils, but it could still be. I'll let you know when that's figured out.

what about the other products they have like timing belt kits? would anyone trust this company with something so serious? I could see with coils but this would be an awesome deal if it was good stuff

There was just a brown box, after i opened it there was another little brown box that the coilpack came in. It says FCP GROTON LLC.. on the top of it. But that's all. Nothing different on the invoice either.
