*Scratches Head* New tune, same problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Problem - Car runs pig rich at WOT (9.3 AFR according to my innovate wideband).

I recently upgrades from Mika to the Unitronic 630cc-3bar file and i am still running rich at WOT, to the point where it starts to break up.

    - No CEL's
-I have pressure tested for boost leaks. There are none
    - Vacuum is good. 23 inHg @idle
    - Tried disconnecting the W/M inj.
    - Confirmed with Unitronic that the fueling setup should work (550cc@4bar)
-Tried different boost levels, all seem the same, holds boost fine.

I have no idea what is causing the car to run this rich.

Any input is appreciated, I have run out of ideas.

Have you done a compression test?

I wonder if the 044 pump is causing the car to run rich, have you looked at your fuel trim readings(block 032) and see if you can turn the fuel pressure down to offset for the 44 pump?

I thought the uni 630 file was written for 4 bar?

Anyway, what MAF are you running - that could easily cause rich condition @ wot

Ask Mike said, what values in block 032?

Re: *Scratches Head* New tune, same problem

    Update...
-Put back the stock fuel pump and nothing changed.
-Tried a 3bar FPR and the afr is still in the 9's
-VAG log of block 32 looks good (-2 idle, +2 partial)

Maybe i should just keep upping the boost til it leans out lol

Run the car with an actual fuel pressure gauge on it that you can see. Do some wot runs.

Adding more boost wont burn more fuel seeing that you will just cause the fuel pressure to go up 1:1 with that boost and the maf will see more air flow and will just tell the ecu to use even more fuel.

The wideband was callibrated again last week. The car was also dynoed to try and diagnose the problem and the AFR was almost exactly the same.
