Wow
No you shouldn't do that. Your flywheel is a Dual mass unit, you can't just scuff it like a mustang or something. The ring around the outside? That needs to be machined exactly as much as the center. Ask anyone from one of the shops we all deal with, in fact ask a shop that does not sell flywheels if you feel they're lying.
I had someone scuff my flywheel and it looked fine on install, 6 thousand miles later it ate my brand new stage 3 CM clutch. I know for a FACT this is what caused it because all the wear was on the FW side of the friction disk. I sent it back to CM and asked them what they thought and they said the same thing.
As for your question NY:
You are going to slip the most in 5th or 6th because thats where your clutch has the most strain on it. Stop doing that.
Forget the lightweight flywheels, your broke! why the hell would you want that? I received my stock resurfaced FW from VAST, they are very helpful. I have driven both the southbend feramic and the CM kevlar (mine) and my next clutch will be the SB.
www.ultrarev.com has good deals on CM stuff, way below list and they are out of NY
If vast is out of stock or youre set on a LWFW, I think 034 just had a great deal on some on here, 350 shipped I think? thats great and maybe vast will buy your core or trade for parts, who knows?
Unplug your n75 if your stage 2 (limits you to wastegate psi i think) and just drive easy for a while until you have the money for the legit stuff.
When you change the clutch, change the slave, I got mine for 70 bucks, one bolt and a good bleed and you're in the money. Save the old one if it's working for a spare.
