Recommended Fuel Injector Size for Stage III

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm currently going stage III for my daily driver and will be conservative with my boost because I'm not looking to max out the KO4s. With that info; What size injectors are recommended to run a Stage III set up and how much are they usually?

What do companies like ASP, EPL, Vast, APR and AWE run with their kits?

I read that AWE used to have 42lb or 44lb injectors for their fueling kits. Do they still use that or do they now use a bigger size injector.

I did a search for stage III injectors, but the information was over a year old, and I'm guessing that everyone is running bigger size injectors due to better/advance software from a few years ago. I have read that people are running 60lb injectors but will that be a overkill for my application?

If someone who is more knowledgeable about this could chime in that would be great, but I would prefer to run 60 pounders (one of the reasons i'm going Vast in the spring when I go stage 3), as from what i've seen 420's are near maxed out on the duty cycle in a decent stage 3 set up

go 60lb that way your injectors arent running at 100% all the time. from what i hear the 42lb are pretty much maxed on a aggressive stage 3

If he's not going to run a really aggressive setup 42lbers would be fine. ?You can probably find an APR fueling kit from someone parting out, closest to stock drivability out there. If you want a very aggressive setup you should go a 60lb inj route..

I say 60lbs as well they will work fine for what you want and will give you headroom if you ever decide to go faster with the car. The difference between the 42lbs and 60lbs on Vast's site is $10 so you do what you want. http://vastperformance.com/shop/inde...facd6fe83589c3

42's work fine and dont max out until you get onto a race file for most programming. 60's would still be better tho

Well you have to choose whatever your file is written for. Vast has a newer file that uses the 60# injectors. SSP, ASP, 10SecS4, VAST, JHM and I believe EPL use 60# injectors.

I would absolutely install the 60lb injectors. The tuning for the 60lb units are still in their relative infancy, so there is more power to be made with them. I believe that the 60lb programs haven't been out for a full year yet. I may be wrong, but possibly close.

My buddy got the EPL kit with 60lb injectors at the beginning of last summer so it's safe to say they've been tuning them for over a year and a half. I'd definately get the 60's. Most people who go stage 3 want more power after a month anyway and this will leave you room to upgrade.
