    Getting new rims tomorrow!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am going to pick these up. They are used, 18 inch, with minor damage. They are 5 lug and I THINK the offset is 235, but I may be wrong. What is the minimum/Maximum offset that will work on our cars. There is 25% tread left on the tires, but for $250, I think that is a killer deal! Also where can I buy centercaps for them? They are missing. And what should the price for used tires for them be around?
Here are some pics, but the rims are very dirty.

These will be going on a Dolphin Gray 2004 A4 with a lowering kit.

    Re: Getting new rims tomorrow!

Those tires are too small for your car. Your car is going to look ridiculous with 215/35/18's on it unless you have it slammed to the ground.

Also, I doubt those are 5x112 since they're drilled with a 4 and 5 lug pattern, so they're most likely 4x114.2 and 5x114.3. Depending on what size bolts they're drilled for, they won't fit very well and will wobble or won't fit at all.

    Re: Getting new rims tomorrow!

dude, pass on those, IMO those won't look good on a DG car, and Capt. is right, those don't look 5x112. If i were you, I'd spend 250 on powder coating the stock rims.

    My car is lowered 1.5"
I held them up to the wheel well, and they looked pretty cool. Could I get an adaptor?

I assure you they won't look cool once you put them on the car with those tiny tires and that minor drop.

And no, you can't get adapters for wheels with that offset.

i have DG too and once i get some money I'm going with 18" b5 rs4 rims or reps, then powdercoating them black. That's just so I can put all seasons on them.

I think they look alright. Im just not feeling the gloss black, Matte would be better. Try checking the inside of the rim they usually have the specs in somewhere in there.

if the capt. is right they are 5x114.3 then you could run wobble bolts but I dont know with that multi drill pattern if its a good idea. Plus you have to have a certian size center bore.

Unless you verify all that information offsets, lug patterns etc i wouldn't dump all that money into what looks like knock off wheels. They dont look bad at all in my eyes but i really dont care what anyone else says.

What do you mean certain size center bore? for like the lugs to line up?
Also If you clcik enlarge ont eh photos, you can see hte info on the tire. Can you explain to me what this means and if it would fit. I am planning on using wobble bolts, can I get these at like O'reillys or Autozone?

I think they went up in price...

the center bore is where the wheel mounts to the hub, the circle in the middle of the lugs. If its to large you can get hubcentric rings, but if its to small then it becomes expensive with machineing if even possible with those seats so close to the middle.

do some research on them , people have been running them for years. They have been called diffrent names. But i dont think i would trust them with the multi drilled lugs the way it is.

VWvortex.com usually has 17" rims for sale at a good price. they're really not looking too good in the pics...i would pass as well. take a little bit longer to find rims that will look killer in comparison to these. tires look sh*tty as well.

Unless you are getting them because you want better snow tires, why go as small as 17"?
