    Re: Motul Oil Change

i dont really change oil for added power, more for protection and Motul is one of the best. I have been religious in maintaining my car with motul products and since switching to motul 5w40, my car does not burn oil the way these engines typically do and i have never had to top off between oil changes

In LA area you can get it at Super Autobacs in OC or in the SGV locations. They also carry most of the 1Z car care products. www.autobacsusa.com Just be warned that you might be the only non-ricer in the place....

    Re: Motul Oil Change

I noticed that after I changed my oil with Motul that the timing chain tensioner rattle practically vanished. I did not notice any performance increase, but I do have more peace of mind knowing that I'm protecting my engine with the best oil out there.

Same here. Don't hear that after start up any more. Although I've used Lubro Molly.

$17.50 a quart? Wow, I paid $35.00 for 5 quart bottles purchasing online. Ordered 2 cases of them for a total of 8 bottles with shipping still comes out to just about $45.00 a bottle.

Doesnt our car take 10 qts? Over 100$ just for the oil per change? sounds pricey...

Mine takes more than 8.6. I filled up 10 and pulled out .5 - .75 out.

    Re: Motul Oil Change

I use Lubro-Moly, and I noticed a difference when I changed to that from whatever the dealer puts in. Engine seemed to run smoother, and I didn't have to periodically put more oil, as with the dealer oil.

World Impex is a great site. Ordered a ton of parts from them for my old TDI.

    But... shipping oil is expensive.

...for Total oils, www.polepositionusa.com offers free shipping on case orders.
