    Re: D2 Racing coil-overs...

I did some research back when i first found these and found very little information.
Here is what i remember so dont take this as facts:
    - D2 used to be a British Cellphone Provider...the exact logo now appears on these coilovers...
    - When i first found them, they had no website and were designed and made in Taiwan i believe. Now you can find a USA distributor here http://www.d2racing.com/
    - From what little feedback i found they are pretty good and def sell at great prices.

Here's tip, they are made by the same people (in Taiwan) who make the K-Sport and another make. The Bimmer guys seem to like them and there is nice K-sport review on AZ. I've never heard anything bad yet. I'm sure you can get them for less than $940. I've seen them in the low $800s before.

G4/D2/K-sport, this Ebay seller in Australia has the G4shttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&it em=370098340147

I say pull the trigger, there's nothing really comparable with those specs and in that price range.

My buddy has them on his civic loves them to death. that thing is so low it makes my car look 4x4 status. I dont know if those do, but the ones he has is top camber adjustable which is a very nice feature.

Nah, the ones for the B6 don't have the adjustable camber.

A few B7 guys have it installed. Its essentially the same suspension as the B6's. There are different sets for FWD and Quattro.

Can you show where the camber is adjusted. I just don't see it. I might have to reconsider these then. I could forgo the Stern adjustable CAs if this is so.

    Re: D2 Racing coil-overs...

You completely remove the big mushroom looking thing on top of the "top hat" where the strut mounts on top and then you can move and re-center the new upper mounts to give it caster and camber as you please.

It's the part right under the nut on top. The big alluminum piece becomes the new upper spring bushing and then the rest bolts and tightens through on top of that

Asically you're tilting the entire strut if that makes any sense

^^^ I see, too bad, there aren't any measurements to precisely adjust the camber , but as long as I can get my alignment right, I guess it doesn't matter. Thanks.

    Re: D2 Racing coil-overs...

There is no camber adjustment on these. But then again, not sure how negative you want to go, but with the front tires tucking a little the camber at that height is not so negative that you're tram lining. I know this response is probably not as technical as you want, but if the Sterns have the additional adjustments you need, then sounds like you've got another option.

I've seen these on ebay as low as 700.00 and on craigslist for as low as 500-600

I figure, you get what you pay for.

Sounds like a great deal for suspension that normally sells for 850-950. Low price doesn't necessarily mean low quality. U just gotta pull the trigger for whatever product is the right price for you.

OK, now I'm confused. Is the camber adjustable or not? I don't want to go negative but, fix the negative camber from going low.

Moving the strut isn't going to change your camber. The upper arms are the only way. B6Lovin is mistakin.

i know what you're saying based on the design, as far as tilting the physical wheel.... (and hence giving you more or less camber in either direction) i'm not really sure how to explain the whole thing without just showing you. it most definitely offers a very small amount of adjustment - though it is nothing in comparison to aca's

i know it does because i checked on our alignment rack after playing with it for a little while

because I had heard very good things about the brand from the rest of my friends (who all run about in the rest of the import world... hondas, nissans, scoobs, evos, blahblahblah)

doesn't hurt to try new things, it's been working out rather well for me so far.

not to mention if we can build interest in the brand with our cars - maybe they'll be a little more enticed to start making BBK's for our cars that won't cost an arm, leg, and your first born child.

Very good. Are you able to install the rear springs and rear spring perches upside down?? I'm mainly asking because I'm interested in on-car adjustment.
