Front upper ball joint.. rearward or forward?

I need to replace my left side front upper ball joint, are forward and rearward both required or are they for different models? I was looking on Ebay and the rearward is twisted where as the forward one is straight. I didn't realize there would be two different ones.

    Rearward

Actually it's the whole control arm, but it's cheaper for that then what I was quoted for the ball joint.

Ok, I'm an idiot. I just spoke to a Audi tech and he told me that each wheel has 4 control arms! No wonder I was so damn confused. lol

Nice one. Two upper and two lower on each front wheel. Both of the front ones are "straight" and the rears are "bent".

Yea, It's best to replace both uppers at the same time, if you can afford it. They both move the same amount and are subjected to the same environment.

Depending on how bad the pinch bolt is seized in there, can force you to replace both uppers.
