whats the best way to install glue/tape on sideskirts?

[posted this in general car chat as well...thought maybe some locals can help me out or have done this before]

just got me some OSIR sideskirts for my 8P A3

they are 100% glue or tape on fiberglass skirts...no holes or tabs
there is a small grove that somewhat latches onto the car but is more of a lip just to hang onto the OEM sideskirt a bit cleaner

im dropping them off to paint today and need to know whats the best adhesive or tape or both to install when i get them back

obviously need something sturdy/strong that will last and not fall off...
plus keeps its tight and flush with the car...
quick drying, sticky, withstands weathering and vibration, etc...

any thoughs/tip/experiences/recommendations?

i used to install all oem audi body kits, go to a auto gass company and buy a tube of the urethane adhesive. from them and use a standard chalking gun. but the key is after the install, let it cure/dry for 24hrs, then no wash for 48hrs, then no load/driving for 72hrs.
follow these 4 steps and you'll be happy. if not they will peel off in time call me for any questions....
and of course i can assist with install if needed.........

If you want to go Tape

Of course clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol before you apply the tapes

Home Depot sells 3M VHB (Very High Bond) Double Sided Tape, (Grey Tape with Red Peel). Its pretty strong and I used it to support my DD 350z sideskirts for over a year.

Another Glue method alternative to Freddie's would be Epoxy. But if you go with glue I might go with that Freddie stated as I bet he has more experience than me and that stuff sounds more adhesive than epoxy

Cons of the glue method is that if you ever remove or decide to change it might damage one or both parts but its gonna hold well.

Tape will be easier to remove and will hold onto it well but you'll feel more secure with a glue method.

^ yeh ive been researching and found the VHB stuff

i think tape is easier and less scary/messy

plus i dont have that 24-72hr option...its my car u know?
im gunna pick some up unless i hear back from freddie about this...

Yeah. GL with the Tape project.
Theres no reason why it shouldn't hold with a good amount and proper cleaning

So you decided against the OEM S3 sides huh?

We used the adhesive that Freddie's talking about, for the Votex sides on my brother's A3. They held on great, but the extra tabs on the bottom and the screw on the one end helped too. Getting the glue off when we were demodding was a PITA, but we did it.

I'd be a bit worried using tape alone, especially the way you drive.

^ too much! theyre ~$700-800 without paint!

AND i decided to have the body shop do it...

i was fighting for $200 for paint...they wanted $250
so i said fuck it and offered $300 for paint AND install and they took it
let them deal with it

these are just as subtle as votex, but a bit less aggressive then s3's...
my main concern is a subtle look that doesnt hang lower then the front and back
the sides just need some beef

i have to get em on first son
