    continue looking for a B7 a4 2.0t Q with the titanium pkg? in the long run i would end up going BT.. or should I get a B7 S4? i have no idea what to do and I dont know if I really want a v8 because of how much I drive, but I want a fast car?? i guess my Question is can i make an a4 2.0tQ faster then an S4 please help me with my decision :) thanks

    i would have gone with an S4 if i could have afforded it...

    for the money you will spend on an S4 and the gas you will eventually spend on it, a BT A4 imo is going to be better.

    just drove STaSIS' BT A4 and it is ridiculous, it feels like a stage 2/3 B5 S4...completely different car. With that I would say they are comparable, but the A4 is going to give the MPG's you want.

    I'm not sure. i think you would, so they don't pull away at the top end, where the k03 and k04 run out of breath.
    Would you build the engine also, or just go stage 3?

    Or you could get an S4 and do a supercharger kit and be faster than an RS4... But if you're looking for good gas mileage and a fast car, I'd suggest going with a GT30 kit and build up the motor.

    I'm seriously considering the STaSIS Turbo Upgrade. I just called my Audi dealer and I'm waiting for an out the door price. Their upgrade kit puts down 320 hp...according to the website

    You will need a big turbo to make the A4 faster than the S4. Figure spending quite a bit on the turbo kit, plus all of the supporting mods. Intercooler, exhaust, clutch, software, ect. The you will have a car that gets great mileage and can wax an S4 when needed. BT A4s can run in the 12s.

    If you don't want to do all of that modding, get the S4. Its a mid 13 second car stock, only downturn is it eats gas.

    If you don't 'need' to be quite that quick, get an A4 and add some minor mods. Chip, exhaust, ect. You'll have a 14.0 sec car and it will be good on gas.

    Thats a definite no. To really put a beating on it you need a K04 but a K03 with my mods would do the trick. From a dig you will hold off an S4 to atleast 80MPH then be neck and neck till 120+. I have pulled on a B6 S4 not by much though. Thats put it this way my car has around 300CHP/340CTQ Compared to the S4's 340CHP/302CTQ but my A4 weighed in at the track @ around 3400lbs compared to the S4's 3800+. Its a good race thats put it that way.

    But if i could afford an S4 then it would be a different story. S4>A4 in everything.

    This was my EXACT same problem and I eventually got the A4 fully loaded with the full factory warranty. For the same amount I would have been able to afford an S4 with around 80k miles. Decided to keep the stock turbo and make the most of it. Better on gas and insurance. Would have bought the A4 all over again but definitely black this time. :) Good luck

    But there's an '07 2.0T Avant by me; black/black w/ Ti package, but its a Tip. Not sure if you're interested...I'm in NJ btw...

    i drove the s4 today an 05 and i was not impressed at all now if i where to get one it would be a b7 which is nicer looking IMO but is there any difference between the takeoff and pick up, my friends mini cooper s feels faster than a stock S4!!!!!! I think im going to BT an A4 and save the gas :)

    I'd go with an A4 with a chip/exhaust/fmic/test pipe.... it'll be the best of both worlds.

    If you get the a4 you'll regret not getting the s4, i know i did. If your going to drive fast then your gas milage is going to be the same either way. I say you go with the s4!!!

    i just didnt find that the s4 had that low end power it definatly built by 4500 rpms but thats a lot compared to my 1.8t and a 2.0t.. what would i need to achieve that in an S4? sorry i dint post thi in the s4 forums but id rather a4 opinion since i have one..

    think about the total cost of the a4 being super modded with a BT kit vs. the price of the S4 and gas.

    now that I think of it I would have gotten the s4, because its so damn sick and I don't want to go BT. It's up to you

    According to the EPA the difference in fuel cost between the S4 and the A4 2.0T is $2341 vs. $1464, an $877 dollar difference between the two. A big turbo kit costs around 5k if you do most of the install.

    After about 6 years of driving, your fuel cost alone pays back for the big turbo kit. Sounds like thats a good deal considering the s4 costs more. The fuel savings could be more considering that aftermarket software advances the timing. But, it could also be less or negligible if the BT car is driven the way it should be!

    Well you also forgot the higher in insurance rates for the S4.

    What happens if you put a BT in your car and then your car gets totaled? are you out the 5-7k you paid for the BT?

    You go get the turbo out of the car before the insurance company takes and you never see it again....

    I really don't know what else to say, some of my friends took tons of thngs out of the car before the insurance company took it away, or you can see how much they want for it before they sell it off to the yard..

    Best bang for the buck- 2.0t a4
    best car and sound- 4.2l s4
    2.0t +chip and exhaust = S4 torque, but lacking HP
    2.0t + big turbo = S4 left in the dust :)

    ^^..agreed I'm looking into an RS4 or an S5 right now bc I want the v8..I was at the dealer a few days ago they had an RS4 cabriolet discounted 12,000 off sticker I couldn't believe it if it was a 4 door I would of pulled the trigger..imo I say go for the S4
