OT: Taking a trip to Paris

Hey guys, so at the end of December I will be heading over to Paris for 2 weeks. I'll be spending Xmas and New Years over there. And I was wondering if any of you guys have been there? If so what are some "MUST SEE" attractions/ things to do, other than the obvious such as the Eiffel tower and the Louvre and stuff like that. Good places to stay, eat, shop, etc? I know some of you out there must be globe trotters

4 seasons hotel in Paris is top notch. Theres lots of tiny shops all along the main streets and they are all pretty unique cafes, boutiques things along those lines.

Go to chapters and buy a lonely planet book of Paris.. Seriously.. There's lots of info you can get out of it..

Walk around! There are so many nice things to see there, take the metro as little as possible otherwise you'll miss stuff... I walked miles every day when I was there.
You definitely need a good guide book.
You can start with a boat ride on the "Seine" which will let you see a lot of things quickly. You'll then decide where you want to go.
The "Chateau de Versailles" and surrounding park is very nice too and not very far from the city.

Pick up lunch from the various shops in Rue Cler Market for a picnic a few blocks away at the base of the Eiffel Tower or on the banks of the Seine.

Enjoy absolutely the best Martini you'll ever have at Harry's New York Bar.

Catacombs if they're open. Its a giant underground tunnel system walled with thousands of bones... Very cool history and nobody ever seems to go. Super creepy too.

Park Citroen is nice. Like others, I recommend walking around, the whole damn place is so interesting to look at. When I was there I was just captivated by everything like Rain Man.

Oh ya, and if you're a smoker, you can enjoy a nice smoke as soon as you get off the plane.
