H&R sports installed but rear height is like factory sport?

My mechanic installed the springs yesterday and after we lowered the car back down, the front looked great. But the rear was like a non-sport suspension. After going for a test drive and loading up the suspension in the rear, it settled down to what my factory sport ride height was. I was expecting more of a drop

I know springs settle but isn't the average only .5" to 1" at most? I've got about a 2 finger gap in the rear, haven't had time to break out the measuring tape yet. Any ideas? We triple checked everything in the rear and everything was normal.

thats wierd. my H&R's keep the rear almost tucked and the front it about a 2-3 finger gap.

That's what I was expecting to see in the rear based on my research. I'm hoping after driving it around some more will get it to settle.

Give it a little bit to settle maybe, but if it doesnt sink any lower then thats really weird. Try getting a full tank of gas lol

Haha. I just filled up prior to taking the pics. But yeah, my mechanic said to give it some time and see what it does.

man i cant help you with the springs, but i may suggest a "race" spring thatll sit lower by about another inch.

On a side note i really really like the way the a4 looks with the fat winter tires. I live in texas so no snow but my next set will prob look like yours

when i put my race springs on i was very disappointed that it was stock height give it one week to settle.

Haha, thanks. They're the stock 17" tire size, 235/45/17.
