    Lamin-x 'Tint' versus Light Output

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys. I have the stock xenons on my Dolphin Grey 03 3.0QM.... i'm interested in doing lamin-x 'tint' color protective film on my headlights and 'yellow' color on my fogs. Does anyone have any specific experience with these two lamin-x shades and how it affects light output? I've done searches and like the look of them, but haven't seen anyone really mentioning how much the 'tint' shade affects their visability at night.

Re: Lamin-x 'Tint' versus Light Output

I have tint on both on my headlights and foglights. I could tell a difference at first and it sucked, but now Im used to it and I still have enought light to see. I have different high intensity bulbs in my fogs though, from ECS tuning. http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...roductID=11133
You will notice a difference, but I dont have anything to quantify it. You can deal.

those bulbs are shit compared to HID.... if u get lamin-x over ur headlights/foglights, u better be running 55w hid kit.. cause it will reduce output... nOt By A LOT, but u will notice..

Re: Lamin-x 'Tint' versus Light Output

Don't think you have to worry about reduced light output. I compared my left fog (laminx) with the right (standard) and the output looked the same or very close.

Re: Lamin-x 'Tint' versus Light Output

i'm not as worried about the output of the fogs as I am of the regular HID low beams. Hopefully they won't be too dim going through the tint, because I like my nice white light...?

is it easy to take off? how do you remove? heat gun? then use adhesive remover?

Re: Lamin-x 'Tint' versus Light Output

What I was trying to get at is that if the output of the fogs were not affected, then most likely the low beam output would not see any diminishing output of light as well...

    good luck sir.
