If so which one are you running and have you actually noticed gains from it? Im taking my car to mike at canyon racer tomorrow and looking for my next performance mod. Dont have a lot to spend right now so i was thinking an intake might be a good way to go. Right now im Revo Stage 2, quad tip exhaust, and a test pipe.

tell mike I said hi =D

well, no one really has a true CAI, just basically a short ram...but stay tuned, GSG is making one and is coming soon. Ill post up once I get it.

p.s. if you buy an intake, but it used.

So waiting for the GSG is my best choice for right now? Any other worthwhile performace mods under $400 you can think of?

Re: Who here has a cold air intake

    Doesn't stage 2 entail a CAI?

Regardless, I didn't notice any gains... just sound. my EvoM intake is pretty loud, and that's all. I would do what Randall (haha) says and hold off for the ghost squad intake.

    ps. mike's a good guy

Re: Who here has a cold air intake

cant say its the best choice, but it is a choice. As far as a true CAI, they will be the only company on the market (that we know of) that has one for the b7 A4.

ummm...what are you into? sway bars are good if you go auto-x or track...basically, once you do a chip, intake (evoms, custom, carbino, gsg intake pipe + filter), exhaust and test pipe you are already maxing out your car.

Other mods entail: new fuel pump, water meth (mike doesnt like it, hence why I dont have), big turbo, pullies, etc...

As mike has told me, "Randy, you are basically maxed out your car, without going big turbo"

so, big turbo it is =D

Re: Who here has a cold air intake

Yeah, I am also now waiting on the GSG CAI. I was going to get the EVOMS up until I heard about GSG. I dont know how expensive it would be though. I would only really be able to go up around 450 for it though.

Sway bars are on my list but im back on shitty stock tires right now since i just sold my wheels so not my top priority. Short shifter is not an option since im TIP... Driver education might not be the worst investment would be fun to learn how to truly handle my car and see what its capable of. I honestly dont drive very fast often im just so sick of the turbo lag on the 2.0.

Re: Who here has a cold air intake

thank you will, stickers are the way to go...

FMIC, does give you more hp, not an insane amount, but a tad more...but FMIC is really meant for the cooler air. Ill have the GSG one dyno'd soon and ill see how it does over stock on 91 octane. You will feel the gains.

but invest 400 bucks on stickers!
