Don't understand the N249 bypass mod.

I have researched it for about 30 minutes now. I still don't understand what it does, what it looks like, how to do it, or what parts I will need. I found a DIY for vacuum and etc., but is there a thread specifically for the N249 mod. I am clueless on all these lines, hoses, and valves.
Any information is much appreciated!

it's pretty simple stuff, bolted onto the underside of the intake manifold there's a little box-like thing with a hose comin in one end and out the other, and you're gonna be bypassing it. you take the hose that comes from the DV out of the box and you plug it into the corner of the manifold, doesn't really matter what you do with the other hose, most would just loop it to the now open side of the n249 to avoid crap gettin in there

im going to do mine this weekend i think but im going to log a 1-4 gear pull and a third gear pull before and after to see if it actually changes anything....

Only thing it does is keep the ECU from controlling the BPV, the ecu opens the BPV to decrease power when there is a safety issue.
