Looks good. Your camera can't handle the sounds that your turbo is making (upper frequency zone). I think my dog would freak out if i had the volume up high.

Winston does yours sound like a turbo diesel truck spooling? Loud ass spool sound? My friends B5 with a 3071 doesnt sound anything like my 3076, he is like how does yours sound like that! Mine spools real loud just like a chipped F250 turbo spooling would sound

My turbo spool sound is pretty sweet. Just whines when it spins up, the pitch gets louder and louder then almost silent then the wastegate starts dumping to atmosphere.

I don't know if my compressor housing is different than yours or not.

The F100 shakes the altitude test facilities its so loud (old technology). They stuck me in the basement with my computer screens watching the data I was recording. The test cell was one floor above. The whole building would shake at max afterburner.

Working on that. I decided last week to ditch the adjustable cam gear for an OEM one and make the timing advance whatever we want via ME7.5. Tuning should resume tomorrow from what I have been told...

The 321 stainless is quite thin and the exhaust gases are hot so you see the result.

Just starting the car gets the manifold hot enough to vapourize water.

I have a 1.9L engine now.

My engine bay will look a lot cleaner once we remove a bunch of parts that are no longer required.

The TIP, K&N filter and excess tubing has already been taken out.

I have noticed that about 3076s............ Even with my tial sport anti-surge cover I don't get that sound.

Just starting the car gets the manifold hot enough to vapourize water.

Only takes 212 F to do that, and that manifold (or any other) is carrying gasses that sometimes exceed 1000f, so....................

Thin walls mean it'll become isothermal pretty quickly hence you're seeing that temperature change.

Its the transition zones you gotta worry about... V-Band flange (runner junction) and Mani-Head flange. There is more mass there so it heats up slower. Varying thermal fights cause cracking but you know this from your previous manifold experience and knowledge in this subject...


Are those manifolds heat treated and stress relieved after welding? I sure hope so to retain its strength. Figured you guys would do all that anyway..
