STaSIS Financiapocalypse Sale! A4 Touring Suspension Kits!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
In the spirit of buy high / sell low, STaSIS is clearing out the stockroom and sending out a few smoking deals. For those in dire need of some suspension loving for their A4, we are happy to offer our Touring Suspension, normally $725 for $600!! [plus shipping and limited to stock on hand, said the fine print].

The Touring suspension includes a Koni damper, pre-adjusted by STaSIS and a set of shorter, stiffer springs [not height adjustable] for the optimum ride / performance relationship. I know what you’re thinking: “well I really wanted height adjustability..”. Oh yeah? Are you REALLY going to adjust the suspension? Are you REALLY going to corner balance the car [which has more rubber in its suspension pivots than the Trojan factory]? Why not let the leader in Audi suspension tuning do all of the math for you? STaSIS has done the development, tried and tested dozen's of spring rates, damper settings, etc. and arrived at something we are very happy with. As are our customers. The last set I sold this is what the customer had to say:

"Thank you thank you thank you. The suspension is incredible. I installed it about two weeks ago and I can not believe it. I drove a few blocks conservatively and was not sure there was any change. So compliant.....like stock if not slightly better. But dial up the speed and turn in is incredible, so neutral....hmmm, sometimes I swear the back end is coming around like a rear drive car. A lot less body roll inspires confidence and the car is so much better controlled over rises at speed. Rebound is way better......the car always feels planted. I can not wait to drive Lagune Seca in two weeks."

If you don't believe him, here's another guy's opinion:
    http://www.stasisengineering.com/med...e%200507sm.pdf

The bottom line? This is about the best performance value you will find for an A4 suspension. Rides great, handles amazing and looks fantastic. Save the extra $ you were going to spend on cheap coilovers and spend it on track days.

I have never heard of these before, is there a reason you don't market these much?

Re: STaSIS Financiapocalypse Sale! A4 Touring Suspension Kits!

Information dissemination is a tricky thing. We feel like all we do is talk about them. No real reason, except that they're usually marketed as part of an entire Touring Car kit.

alkemix - huh? mantade? wha? ends when they're gone. lifetime on koni.

a4a4a4 - its about an inch below stock. it's exactly the ride height you need. trust me.

rnp - s line is about 10mil down from stock, so figure about 1/2"

GAH! I shouldn't lower my car at the beginning of colorado's winter but, the mod bug might get the better of me this time.
Can you really tell a difference in stance between a car with sport suspension, and the touring kit since it's only half an inch lower?

What is the set ride height for these springs and what will the drop be compared to stock/S-Line models.

Are the "factory settings" on the street sport coilovers the same setting height as these?

Re: STaSIS Financiapocalypse Sale! A4 Touring Suspension Kits!

vroom - drop is about 1" and 3/4" below stock and stock sport. rates are a little higher than streetsport, rides a bit firmer. these are about where the SS's sit at the top of their range, and tehy adjust down from there. nice cust pic here:
    http://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/msgs/111716.phtml

josh - this is just for springs and dampers [shock / strut].we sell lots of other stuff.

viper - it's a HUGE difference. the drop is only a small part of the overall improvement [lower cg means less weight transfer in braking / turning = better use of avialable grip = stops and turns better]. 1" drop will make no difference in your snow-worthyness. i've been doing tahoe for 10 years with lowered audis and snow tires. if it's that deep 1" ain't gonna matter. =)

So how much firmer is the ride compaired to the sport suspension? Is it still tolerable on bad roads?

Re: STaSIS Financiapocalypse Sale! A4 Touring Suspension Kits!

we all think the ride is BETTER than stock. stock a4 suspension is vague, soft, pushes like mad, yet still somehow harsh and easily upset. this is much more controlled, precise and dissipates bumps far better. it's firmer, but doesn't crash over stuff.

no idea on the eibach. check their specs.

Avant setup??? I noticed all your suspension kits listed are just for sedans, I know it's probably not the best market but thought I'd ask.

here's an actual live customer! :
    http://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/msgs/111716.phtml

we are open next week. these will work fine on an avant. the Streetsport's are height adjustable and a touch softer spring. A bit more comfy on the street, and just as good in the turns.
