    Noticed 2 issues @ 6200 RPM

Car: Automatic, 1.8T Quattro, 2002, 91 octane, 1/4 of the gas tank left.

    1) I was doing some spirited drives today and I noticed at 6200 RPM I hear a noise, its maybe a slight knocking, or some kind of "kreeek" noise that lasted for about a second or 2. It did not happen at all anywhere between 2000 to 6000 RPM.

    2) Also, when the car goes to say 5500 RPM and shift gears and goes down to say 4000RPM, I feel like the car acts similarly when a manual car shifts at high speed, you feel this sudden "shifting move", as if the car is forced to stop for a second.. This only happens when am at 4500+ RPM. Not sure if its engine mounts or transmission. I visually checked the engine mounts, they seem ok, no leaks around them.

    What do you guys think?

    Re: Noticed 2 issues @ 6200 RPM

sounds like engine knock, pre-ignition, or detonation.

Might want to turn down the timing a tad.
