In need of a MAF pretty urgent! UPDATE

My maf sensor is throwing a lean code, and i was wondering if anyone local has an extra one in perfect working condition laying around they want to get rid of. My car is a 2001 a4 1.8tq.

just 17536. Vacuum hoses that leaked were fixed, o2 and coolant sensor replaced. Car is stock, 01 a4 1.8tqm w/ 83K miles

yeah i mean it has to be maf, i have changed all the other stuff and the code still hasnt gone away, i tried clearing it but it comes on after driving it for a few minutes. I used crc maf cleaner but looks like that didnt help. Ever heard of a maf made by revo?

well my parts guy ended up hooking me up with a Bosch brand new maf for $130 flat. I installed it and i can tell it looks like that solved the problem. Only thing now, i took the car for a spin around the block and it turned off on me 2x indicating a battery signal. Is that normal cuz its adapting or...

well the first i tried it out with the new maf it just shut off as i was coming to a stop....i drove it 20 miles or so after and it hasnt happened again. My cel came back on tho, im still running lean. the maf didnt help much i guess. I took the car to kovacs motors they couldnt find a leak, took it to another shop they couldnt either. Ended up paying them $200 altogether and neither solved the problem which makes me pissed. Im sure there is a vacuum leak out there somewhere, but i dont wanna take it to a shop anymore and waste anymore money for a problem thats not going to be fixed

this sounds like you have a boost side leak.
