So, I was in Anaheim, Ca last Saturday during the area wildfires. The smoke was pretty bad and was making it like night time at 2pm.

It was so bad I had to wrap a bandana over my nose and mouth as I drove.

Anyway, now when I turn on the A/C it blows some pretty bad smoke stench. Would replacing the cabin filter fix this? It's an '03.

Hopefully your house came away unscathed.

Been running the A/C while driving (maybe 60-90 minutes total) for the last couple days and my perception, while driving, is that the smell goes away - when I get in the car and start fresh, there it is again.

I think the filter may be saturated with smoke. It was pretty thick!

Edit: On that note, maybe I need to replace the air filter too? The car is running fine though.
