    Custom Gauge In The Trim?

Has anyone seen a gauge installation imbedded in the dash trim? I think it would look awesome to have 2 driver angled gauges (boost & Air/fuel) right where my around where Quattro badge is. I wonder what is behind that area of the trim!?!?!?! Airbag or something I could cut into?

That would be way out of the line of sight of the driver.

For me it is more of a basic monitoring system and not a constant performance focused application. It seems like it would be more convenient than building something for the ash tray and I have seen that one done!

I wouldn't mind something setup like the new Porsche 997 turbo has. There is a gauge on the dash if the get the sport chrono package.
