    Rear Chrome Trim

On B6, is the chrome trim on the rear bumper fastened with clips all the way across?
I know there is at least one on each end. If there are then I assume the bumper has to be removed to get that piece out because of the trunk lip covering most of it.

Hmmm, I don't see clips on top side ... My only concern is that if there are clips all the way across then I won't have enough clearance to pop them out.
Not too concerned about braking clips as they can be replaced with extra tape.

    Re: Rear Chrome Trim

^^^ actually, it's more like silver plastic.

all the clips are hidden, you won't see them until you start pulling the trim off. I used a screwdriver to wedge in and get that out. I have my stock piece in storage, give me a couple of days and I'll take a picture for you.

    good conversational contribution...

Your car's ass sure looks sweet channa. I wouldn't mind that CF trunk piece or that CF spoiler from the DTM, but it isn't worth the money. If I could get my aluminum trunk piece off, I'd be down to paint it matte black like I did to the valence, but I still have yet to see a spoiler for the B7 that isn't the expensive CF DTM piece. I'd want that matte black as well. Then a black roof spoiler, and a painted black roof, and the Sprint Blue would be looking siiickkkk...

Also I think I'm going to try out the Lamin-X "Smoked" tails on my car to see how they look on the Sprint Blue. How do you think they are on our cars Channa?

whartung - it would look pretty freakin' evil!

although, if you're going the whole black theme as I can see from your sig, you may also want to do the window trim and mirrors.

i think me and you are on the same path with the black. I saw channa's car at the meet a couple weeks ago it looked awesome but i dont have any carbon fiber on my car so i bought flat black trim paint so i could paint the trim piece on the bumper black to match my rear valance. Im doing it tomorrow ill let u know how it comes out the only other thing i want black is the window trim but have no idea how im gonna do it.

    Re: Rear Chrome Trim

Thanks for the input. I starter to pull it the other day but I ran out of time to paint to so I left it alone until this weekend when I'll tackle that and rear view mirror covers. Front is done as well as rear rings but window trim will have to wait a little until we have a warmer day.
