    Self Leveling Xenon lights problemmm...

    Hey guys,

Well I have been repairing my car for the past few weeks from the little fender bender that i got into. Anyway it is all back together, and just needs paint.

Now, there is one problem. I put in a new light, but, the driver information screen is still throwing out a fault for the headlight and beeps and flashes in yellow.

Anyway, does the car need to get re-programmed or something with the new light in?

    Advise?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Did you turn on the car without a headlight? At least in B6 A4's if you turn on the car witout a headlihgt (those equiped with xenon/auto level) it will through the code and can only be deleted with vag-com.

Assuming you started the car without the headlight in...you need to relearn the Xenon Adjustment. Pretty simply with VAG. Open Xenon box. Adjust code from 00020 to 00030, and keep it there or put it back to 00020. Then click on basic settings. Click group 001 up to 002 and then to 003. Wait a second or two between each. They code should be gone and the headlights adjusted.

You can adjust the headlights all the way up to 00060. I found 00020 to work best for me, and I think that is the stock number.
