    Hi guys,

    I have a problem with the A.

    Here's the log:

    VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N

    Control Module Part Number: 8D0 907 557 N
    Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT MOTR HS D05
    Software Coding: 06201
    Work Shop Code: WSC 06325
    3 Faults Found:
    16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
    P0300 - 35-00 - -
16687 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
    P0303 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate
18014 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
    P1606 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate

So I've played around and swapped some spark plugs and coil packs... The misfire is only in the third cylinder (P0303)...

    My bet, the ICM.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks
    Mat

The battery is unnecessary. Testing the resistance shows continuity through the curcuit so if the module is bad the readings will be the same with or without the battery, it does not need energized.

I know you've swapped plugs but regardless, I'd change the spark plugs first. It's cheap and wouldn't hurt. I tested my ICM and was going to replace it but changing the spark plugs fixed my misfires and I no longer needed to buy a new ICM.

The problem don't follow the spark plugs and the coil. Its alway the same cylinder which misfire. My spark plugs only have 1000 km (like 600 miles...)

All 4 spark plugs are correclty gapped and look perfect.

I tested the icm and there's no more power going through the third cylinder.

    Thank you
