Anyone in RI/NJ with a REVO Select? (Pics for entertainment)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I'll make this quick:

I have my 15k service scheduled for when I go home (from school in RI) on Thanksgiving weekend. KMD in Mountainside won't send me back to stock (even for $$$) so I need to borrow someone's locally. I will drive to you obviously. I live at 07090 in NJ and 02882 in RI.

I do not want to buy one for $xx.xx because I'm a broke college student. If it will make you volunteer sooner I'll give you $20 just for letting me use it! Here is the car just for looking at my topic:

I think you are confused; I need to go back to stock BEFORE the service, which I am not right now.

He's not confused, he's just suggesting the easiest way to do it. See if KMD will reflash you after the service is done. If so, your problem is solved.

lol you're whoring your car just for looking at the topic? At least do it right show us some ass (I'm an ass guy).

No seriously, why do guys say turn it in with the REVO file? Wouldn't the dealer void his warranty if they found out?

I have been through this at three different dealers in the tristate. I also go to KMD. When I had my B7 2.0T I Would just take the car to the dealer and if they had to reflash the car for some reason I didnt car. I would take the Paper work to KMD ( they need to show Revo why they are Reflashing the car, Fax it to them ahead of time). I never had a prob with the dealer nor did they care because they are clearing it away anyway. In conclusion this whole ordeal is just about you taking an extra trip to KMD.

i see a 6-series and a nice neighborhood, why dont you just ask mom and dad for an early christmas present...

if they can afford to send you to URI at 10-20k a year and buy you an audi....then a revo select shouldn't be too much to ask...

And KMD...seriously??? That's your first mistake...one of the worst all around, they may do a couple nice cars here and there, but they are a nightmare, and poor businessmen.

your best solution, ditch REVO, and find a dealer that has a motorsports division that will chip tune and cover you under warranty, i.e. Jack Daniels Audi (Stasis/GIAC) or Riverside audi (APR)

Why don't you relax with the assumptions. You don't know me nor do I know you, so just keep it to yourself. I cannot go to the dealer being chipped; I want to borrow a REVO Select to go back to stock, and then I will go to KMD to have it sent back to being chipped.

I don't care about bad experiences with KMD, I got chipped there and that is all I plan to do with them.

Your personal opinion about whether or not my family should buy me a REVO Select does not mean a thing to me. I pay my lease on my own, take your jealousy elsewhere because it's really embarrassing.

Exactly, that is all I am trying to do, NOT go to the dealer with the REVO file; why are you the only one to understand this concept? Thank you!

    It's actually very simple...

    ...
Have you ever seen audinoob's car? He really does not have nothing to be jealous about.

Also, when you put on the stock REVO setting on the Select or Select Plus, your car still comes up as REVO flashed, so you cant fool the dealer regardless. My S4 has REVO and the dealer doesnt care. Take it it riverside audi or Jack Daniels, they really dont car about mods. I take my S4 to riverside for warranty work and service with my cat-less dp's (with CEL on) and aribag light on from my euro RS4 wheel and they dont give two shits.

Jealousy??? That you lease??? ha lease payment's, that's cute. I actually own my car.

I'm just stating, stop being cheap. You should have spent your money on the REVO select instead of maybe...the votex spoilers? If you planned on taking your car into the dealer for maintenance, AND planned on getting chipped, you should've planned on getting a revo select. if you planned on doing your own maintenance, then i can understand why you didn't buy the revo select.

I bought the flash loader for my GIAC chip, because I planned on taking my car to the dealer for service. So i wouldn't be stuck in your situation, and have to bum a flashloader off someone and offer them measly 20 bucks.

do yourself a favor, and see if URI offers a class on "Priorities", you might learn to spend your money wisely.

sounds like a great deal to me^. the carbonio and boost gauge should give you away anyway, but since its only service, its not a big deal anyhow. and if you turn off the chip with the select plus then you should be able to turn it back on when you get home with it, unless you were overdue for an audi flash update. If they re-flash your car then the chip would go away anyhow.

I see what you mean, but I am burning through absurd amounts of oil which I want them to check out. Based on all of the voided warranty - horror stories, that if there is a problem, they would blame it on the chip (not focusing on the intake).

I suggest you replace the intake too if you can. A guy here had a 3rd gear grinding problem and they wouldn't cover it because he had an intake .

If it's just for a service... why would they check your ECU? 15k isn't much from an oil change and maybe some new cabin/intake filters...
