    I have a 2004 a4 1.8tq,and a 99 a4 1.8tq.

    Does anyone know if I can put my b6 a4 1.8tq 6sp tran's in my 5sp b5 a4 1.8t?.

im planning to keep my b5 and get rid of the b6.My b6 has revo stage1 plus and id like to swap out what i can before i get rid of it.

is the stock ko3 the same on both? or is the b6 turbo better idk?and I think the down pipe is the same by just by eye.to bad i cant use my b6 GHL exaust either .i have evo raceworks dp. and forge dv.and i think the injectors should work also. but Im not sure.

this might sound silly but i like my b5 more . and im gonna mod my b5 so id like to swap what i can instead of buying the same mod's for it that i have done on my b6 lol.

Instead of taking both car's apart and wasting time to see what is going to fit and not, if somebody has the right answer's that would be great.thanks!!!!

Should work. A guy put a B5 2.8 transmission on his B6 1.8T model before. Might be a different story if your B6 is 6speed.

    The K03's are different. The 2004 Has the K03s, vs the B5's K03 (unless it's an 01-01.5). They're interchangeable, but I wouldn't swap turbos.

The 6 speed will fit, and I believe it's a straight bolt up. However, make sure you let the purchaser of the B6 know that it's a 5 speed. If an enthusiast buys the car, or if it's an Ultrasport, most people would know that it's supposed to have a 6 speed.

Put a 6spd shift knob on and limit the test drive 2 a small parking lot.
