    Get yourself a new coolant temperature sensor. There are write ups on how to replace it. Anytime you get a CEL light, search online what the code means and you'll find out more about it.

    ok. i actually have an extra. i thought i had a vac leak one time and a friend told me it was the ECTS, so i went and picked up a new one from a vw dealer for 30$. i never got around to installing it cause i found out that my intake hose was loose.

    i guess ill install it now, good thing i bought one lol
